A Little Reminder: Life Is Unpredictable
Hello readers,
I hope you are having a lovely day but this does not mean every day will be the same as today. For a few of you, this may be a bad day, for others, this may be a good day. I don’t mean to approach my readers unconventionally but I do believe we should not be ignorant about the harsh realities of life. Life is unpredictable and most of the time we ignore this fact. Anything can happen to us at any moment but this unpredictability feature of life does offer us the opportunity to reach our true potential.
I always liked the idea of death and how it frees us from everything that we do in life without any context. Imagine you know the exact moment when you will die and now start doing what you always wanted to, expecting death to come at any moment. Create urgency because you will die anyway. Don't imagine your life to last for 60-70 years. Nobody knows when they will die. I understand most of the time in life we are so worried about our future, improving our social status, and getting a high-paying job that in the process, we forget our real potential. I believe everyone is born with some kind of intrinsic talent and given enough practice, one can have the best life. You need to see your inner talent and figure out what defines you.
I have met people who left their high-paying jobs to start something of their own. It's not because they now have enough money. They could have even more but with time they realised something about life. You'll never be satisfied if you don't have your individuality. Don't be worried about your friends. Their life might look perfect but deep down they are miserable. There are very few happy people in this world. If writing gives you joy, write every day. If teaching gives you joy, do it every day. If singing gives you joy, sing every day. Maybe you won't earn like your friends but given enough practice, you can easily monetize your talent, and in a few years you will have more than anyone you know.
All the great people are born this way. They did what they liked, they took risks, they practised, they suffered momentarily and succeeded remarkably. Find what you love and practice otherwise you will die anyway. It's just one life. There is nothing after that. No rebirth, nothing. People will forget you eventually so what's the point of feeling insecure? Give your life a chance. Maybe you won't succeed in the first go. Try again. Accept the low phase, and grow through it. People will come and go. Don't be worried. It's just you, your life and death. Do whatever you want to do with it and accept death when it comes. You will be satisfied.
